Waiting for Lefty

DeMarcus Brown Studio Theatre

Considered avant-garde when first performed in 1935, with its episodic structure, non-linear timeline, and actors who stepped forth from among audience members, Waiting for Lefty became an anthem for the working classes, championing the rights of workers to strike for fair wages against what was portrayed as a greedy corporate world. This Theatre Arts Department production is dedicated in memory of Silvio Rodriquez.
